Folks, I cannot stress enough - believe in, work hard for and love every minute of your dreams. They do come true, as I learnt last night watching Coronation Street on ITV.

Not the easiest secret to keep, but in January, I self-taped for the role of Conor Gorman. In February, I received one of the best phone calls I've ever received to tell me that I will be heading to Weatherfield on Valentine's Day to shoot on Corrie!

Conor Gorman, a snaky, sarky, Champagne socialist hairstylist from Manchester's Northern Quarter appeared at Kelly Neelan's award ceremony (having won an award himself don'tcha know) offering to provide her with "proper training" at his much fancier salon than Maria Connor's "quaint" Trim Up-North barbers. He and Maria have history, neither of them like each other which made the scene very fun to do. Not to mention, acting opposite Millie Gibson and Samia Longchambon was fantastic - such lovely women.

For now, Conor has slithered back to the Northern Quarter but I do wonder what he's now up to. But yeah, for a bog-standard kid from little old Hull, I'm still pinching myself over this one! Grateful always.
